Mangala Chandran

The 2016 edition of TrafficInfratech Expo along with Parking Infratech Expo brought home a few vital points: India is quite poised to adopt and deploy the latest technology in traffic & transport management. Globally, India’s plans for the rapid implementation of technology backed infrastructure is viewed as a big business opportunity. The presence of senior officials from the government and the Police Deapartment reinforced the fact that the country is very serious about bringing in a transformation in the way the people will travel in future — safe, fast and with ‘comfort’.

Both the exhibitors and visitors agreed that the Show could now be termed the Best in terms of providing opportunities to expand both business and partnership. This issue brings to you a detailed report of the Show. Traffic / Transport professionals who missed out on this event in Mumbai can look forward to an equally exciting Show in Hyderabad next year.

We greatly appreciate the support and response we received from the different governmental and non governmental departments. The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and Shipping has always been giving us the much needed support and advice. The presence of the Maharashtra Transport Minister Diwakar Raote, senior officials from the state / civic departments, City Mayors, Police Chiefs in charge of traffic and leaders from the infrastructure sector added great value.

The three day Conference too maintained high level in terms of content, speakers and delegates. The magazine will be bringing to its readers most of the discussions and presentations.

This Is also our 6th anniversary edition. Over the years, the publication has grown to bring to its fold varied aspects of traffic / transport management keeping its focus however on road safety in tune with our government’s vision.
