Jenoptik’s Traffic Solutions division exhibited its new flexible product range under the theme “Paving your way to Traffic Safety” at the Intertraffic Trade Fair in Amsterdam, from March 25th to 28th. Some of the products exhibited were MiniRack, an optical traffic light detection technology and TraffiTower 2.0. TraffiTower 2.0 is a new flexible outer housing solution which was recently awarded the iF product design award in the category, public design. It combines design and high functionality for traffic monitoring using laser or radar. Two completely independently functioning measuring systems can be built into the housing. This makes it possible to monitor speed or red lights simultaneously across up to six lanes and in different directions.
The innovative “Flexibility for all” modular system design allows customers to deploy core components of traffic safety systems in a wide variety of different applications. A laser scanner or radar sensor is combined with the state-of-the-art SmartCamera IV in a “MiniRack” which can easily be integrated to address all types of user needs: stationary, in a vehicle, or in mobile applications using the easy-to-handle “TraffiTop” mounted on a tripod or on a container. The “MiniRack” expands the flexibility of deployment and the variety of enforcement possibilities, thereby ensuring greater efficiency and lower cost of ownership.
A new, non-invasive optical traffic light recognition technology was also presented. It has a simple system design, is efficient to install & operate and represents an extremely economical solution for red-light enforcement.
TraffiDesk compact, a lean version of the software TraffiDesk pro, an application for evaluating and processing traffic monitoring data in smaller-scale deployments was also introduced by the company.
In addition to products and components tailored to customer requirements, the Jenoptik Traffic Solutions division also be presented its comprehensive range of services, known as Traffic Service Provision. This service unites all services – from single modules to complete processes for traffic monitoring at no up-front cost to the client or without additional staffing requirements.
