Reliance Infra completes major project

Reliance Infra has completed a ? 5.55billion project for four-laning the 52km Jaipur Reengus (JR) road. The corridor, which improves access from the north of the state to the state capital, has eight underpasses, nine major junctions and 17 minor junctions. The project which was done on a design, build, operate, finance and transfer (DBFOT) basis is a part of the NHDP (National Highways Development Project) Phase III, and has a concession period of 18 years. JR road is a part of National Highway 11 (NH-11) and goes through two districts of Rajasthan – Jaipur & Sikar. The new corridor is expected to give a fuel savings of 40% and reduction in travel time by 50% for motorists. Around 22,600 vehicles are expected to use the corridor each day, a figure which is expected to double in the next four years. There are ten lane toll plazas in the corridor equipped with latest toll management system, along with control rooms that enable quick location of accident sites and provide required emergency services within minimum response time
